Connect to another operator

Hello,
I am a customer at SFR and at my home I can’t get either phone network or internet (3G, EDGE...). However, friends who are customers at Bouygues came to my house and they have signal. I have a Samsung Galaxy Teos (Android 2.2) and I noticed that I could choose the network operator I wanted (by going to Settings>Wireless and networks>Mobile networks>Network operators), in this menu the Bouygues Telecom operator is displayed.

My question: If I connect to Bouygues while being an SFR customer, can I make calls, send SMS, go online...?
If so, will this incur extra charges?

Thank you.

    Good evening
Having an SFR SIM card in my opinion I don't think it is feasible.

It doesn't work, the operator is determined by your SIM card.

I think so, it's the same system when we go abroad: the mobile phone connects to another network operator.
