Hello,
What is more reliable in terms of connection between an ethernet connection (100 meters) and two powerline adapters over a distance of 100 meters as well?
We are a web radio and would like to be informed about this subject for broadcasting purposes.
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 6.0.2

Hello,
To my knowledge, there is very little or no loss over an Ethernet cable before 100 meters.
So if it really is 100 meters, I think the cable must be longer.
However, we need to see how much a cable like that costs (or at worst with a repeater between two cables).
I don't know the limit (of loss) for powerline adapters. (after research: Powerline adapters theoretically work over distances of 200 or 300m without repetition. As with speed, these theoretical distances depend on the network and electrical architecture. In practice, 100 meters without repetition is a maximum.)
We also need to consider the price; an Ethernet cable is cheap, but 100 meters must be another story. -
Hi,
The Ethernet cable, by far.
There is no reliability in powerline adapters.
and ... There you go!
