The brackets [ and ] do not work

Hello,

In Google Docs, when I press Alt Gr + 5 or Alt Gr + ° to get the brackets [ or ], nothing happens.
However, it works perfectly everywhere else (Google search engine, .txt file on the computer, forums...

I know I can copy and paste the brackets, but I use them a lot in math, so if there was a way to make these combinations functional, it would be more practical.
Maybe it's some sort of keyboard shortcut used on American QWERTY keyboards, which makes it impossible to insert these characters from an AZERTY keyboard
(as it is the case with Word 2010 for the shortcut Alt + G that didn't work well in France because it was designed for QWERTY keyboards for another command)

Good evening,

Perhaps a temporary solution in the meantime:

By holding down the Alt key (not Alt Gr) type the number 91 then release Alt you will get the "[". Type 93 to get the "]"

I tested it and it works for me in Google Docs

Have a good evening,

Thank you, I thought about it and then I forgot ^^
These codes are very handy, I often use Alt+128 for Ç and Alt+144 for É.
It's more convenient than copy/pasting.

Personally, I have exactly the same problem, it's impossible to get the brackets to work in a Google Doc!
It seems to me that it started after the switch to the new interface.
Anyway, it worked fine before that.
