Screen not responding on my printer

Hello,
I have an HP OfficeJet 6500 wireless printer model E709n that worked perfectly until today. None of the buttons respond anymore (not even the power), it seems that the screen is frozen (the time no longer changes). I've unplugged it and plugged it back in, but the problem keeps coming back. I recently moved it to another room in the house; could there be a link to that? I also installed a patch on my new laptop so that the printer works with Windows 7.

    It may have frozen on an update; it's been happening to me recently with an HP OfficeJet 7500A Wide format.

    It was necessary to unplug it for an hour and reset it.

      What do you mean by 'reset'? Because I unplugged it for 2 hours and then plugged it back in, the printer worked for a second or two and the screen froze again...
