Problem pressing any key

Hello,

I want to install Windows XP but unfortunately the message "press any key to boot from CD-ROM" no longer appears. So the installation of Windows is stuck in an infinite loop, the first part of the installation goes correctly but, during the first startup which prepares for the second part that lasts 39 minutes, it resets to 0 and the installation starts over since the message I mentioned does not appear. So at this point I tried removing the CD-ROM, and a new message appeared "Disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter."
Please help me on how to get the message "press any key to boot from CD-ROM" to display.
Thank youuuuu!

Hello...

I don't quite understand what you're saying, but anyway... in any case, you only need to press a key THE FIRST TIME, after that, it will stop and restart on its own....! Start over from the beginning, tell it that you want to install, format.... and only answer the questions WITHOUT PRESSING a key when you have the black screen... however, you need to leave the CD in, it will need it later....!

Best regards,

Hi, thanks, but the problem is that this question doesn't display; I put in the Windows CD, and the installation runs automatically without telling me "Press any key...".

Hey

Windows XP:

"The installation runs automatically without telling me "Press any key ..."."

Lol, it's fine if Windows continues to install (the files have been copied to the hard drive)!

You can see the menu by pressing F5 on reboot... but don't get the menu mixed up to restart the installation (it's usually the first line unless you've modified the hidden and system file c:\boot.ini). Restart the PC normally if you made a mistake; you can have several versions of Windows installed. You need at least two lines for the Windows menu (all versions) to automatically display at startup; personally, I make sure to duplicate a line if needed and set the timer to 30 seconds before launching the default choice.

Later on (don't lose the Windows XP CD):

You can copy the i386 folder or the complete CD into a folder on the hard drive.

The i386 folder is used to install components, in addition to installing/repairing XP.

If needed (and to be able to repair XP), it is possible to integrate a SP into the i386.

The service pack must be equal to or greater than the one for the Windows installation to be repaired.

Thanks
