Maximum x30 zoom distance

Hello,
as my father is going on vacation soon, he decided to get a bridge camera. After careful consideration, he chose the Fujifilm FinePix S4000
https://nl.letsgodigital.org/nieuws/fujifilm/
It is equipped with a 30x zoom, and since I know absolutely nothing about photography, I wanted to know what this 30x zoom's maximum distance would be? Thank you!
The specifications of the camera are in the link.

    Hello darknico,

X30 is not a distance, but the ratio between the longest and shortest focal length of this camera.
    It's a zoom 24-720 mm (equiv. 24 x 36). So 720 / 24 = 30.

A focal length of 50 mm gives a perspective close to what we see with the naked eye.
Distances viewed with a focal length of 720 mm will appear approximately 14 times closer (720 / 50 = about 14). With a focal length of 24 mm, it will be roughly like doubling the distance (50 / 24 = about 2).

    Re,

Well, 30x is a big zoom.
Without a tripod, you still need good light to get something clear with a 720 mm!

Compared to our view, what would the magnification be?
We can't talk about magnification, but about approximation, which is not quite the same thing.
Saying that objects will seem 14 times closer means that you will see the boat at 140 m as if it were at 10 m.
But it won’t be 14 times bigger (the Eiffel Tower seen from 10 km doesn’t look half as small as when seen from only 5 km).

I don’t know this bridge at all, so I don’t have an opinion on it.

Thank you for your response. But I didn't understand everything :s So regarding our view, how much would the magnification be?

With the S 4000, I'm trying not to take photos zoomed all the way in,
as mentioned earlier, I need a tripod at 30

you just have to look zoomed all the way in and reduce it a bit (without clicking)
    it's obvious,
other than that, it's pure joy to shoot deer, does, and various others,
there, you don't have much time to ask yourself questions..................
you either succeed in your photo..............................
or you only capture the landscape,
these little creatures are very quick....................

first you have to approach them,
wait for them to be in a good position, facing, head up...............
and have the time to trigger......................

    just one thing.........................
when I want to photograph a subject or something very far away....................
I use the a 100 (compact fine pix)
coupled with a telescope (this is digiscoping)
you have to be meticulous with your settings,

    you need a camera
    a telescope,
    a tripod,
    and an adapter..........................
    that's when it becomes fantastic.................................

From the equipment or the result, which is more fantastic?

      Have a good day.

      Not bad, the camouflage!

You said something that really made me laugh, though:

"wait for them to be in a good position, facing with heads up..............."

      Happy hunting.

deer does biches roe deer foxes and various............................
    they come out to feed,
    either you see their backs,
or they are heads down eating..........
they lift their heads, lower them and raise them back up quickly................
to try to detect an intruder,
you need to be quick, well positioned, facing the wind,
and if possible, the sun at your back,
I am not looking to take a beautiful photo,
but the best framed photo possible.....................
    trying to avoid blur,
I have a few videos where I talk to the roe deer...................

what's annoying, after hours of waiting....................
at the moment to shoot, no more batteries,
or we're lost in the settings,
    hence several cameras..................
one of which is fully automatic,
