Slow Mail Merge Printing in Word/Excel!

Hello everyone...
I created a mailing list in Excel (around 3000 addresses) and a template letter in Word. The merge works without a problem, but when I request a print (my file is 1.20 MB), the download in Word and the viewing of all letters is perfect, but the printing and its loading is too slow (about 4 to 5 hours). I have a very good Konica high-volume printer, so why is this happening?
If you can help me.... thank you in advance!
If you cannot...... thank you anyway ;-))) !

    Hello Scorpy,

Unfortunately, in your setup, you don't have many solutions (apparently).

    What’s happening and improvement suggestions:
When you click on print, you generate the spool for the file that will be sent to the printer in the language specified by your driver.

I hope you are using a driver that generates PostScript or at least PCL; if you're in GDI format, you're in trouble.

The printer receives the file and rasterizes it (i.e., transforms it into printable dots) over 3000 pages, which is obviously slow...

    Suggestions:
    1. Check your driver to ensure it is indeed PostScript.
    2. By digging into your driver (which Konica do you have?), try to find the mode to receive everything before printing; that may help.
    3. You can also split your submission into 4 or 5 packets; in some cases, that can help (depends on how the printer manages it, and sorry, Konica isn't my thing...).
    4. Use scheduled sending, like programming the start of the print for 6 AM; you won’t disturb anyone, and it will be ready when you arrive in the morning (yes, I know it's not ideal).

If you want a real solution because you need to do this kind of sending regularly, I recommend considering purchasing specialized software.

I'm new here, so I'm not sure if I can name the software that I consider the best (advertisement?).
