animate a drawing Solved

Question

Hello,

I have a beginner's question:
I would like to animate a simple image by moving a small car from one point to another on a map, then from that same point to another... etc. This animation is intended to create a small vacation film showing the stages of this trip. What simple software do you recommend for this kind of animation? It should be integrable into a video montage (so compatible with classic video editing software like Windows Movie Maker, for example).

As long as you work a little:  -ImageReady -Flash -e-anim (free applet)  And probably others: see Framasoft for free software :-)

Hello and thank you for this response,

This software does exactly what I'm looking to do with one exception: my trip took place in Corsica and the map provided is not precise enough at all. I have a sufficiently detailed map of Corsica, but this software (apparently) does not allow me to insert it.

A software that would allow me to insert all the images and icons I want and that would offer to animate them as I wish would be more practical.

Any ideas?

The previous suggestions are probably good but are rather dedicated to animated gifs, it's not really video... and Image Ready is Photoshop, which is paid.
It’s probably necessary to use an image editor like this, in JPEG, "the GIMP" for example, a free Photoshop, and use several layers of the same image (25 images per second) with on each image another layer of the image that needs to move.
Each state should be saved as JPEG.
Then we use VirtualDubMod or a video editing software that does this to integrate a sequence of still images, and we save it as AVI, with a well-chosen compression codec.
We get an animation.
