show hidden columns in EXCEL

Question

Hello,

I just retrieved an Excel file with the first columns hidden. I tried right-clicking and selecting "unhide," but it doesn't work. Can you please help me?

Hello

Select the column before (before hidden columns) and without releasing, go to the column after

For example: Columns C and D are hidden. So what we see in columns is A B E F.
Select column B (Click on B) and without releasing, go to E and release.
Now place your mouse between E and F (as if to resize a column).
Click without releasing and pull a little to the right
If the hidden columns have not been protected by a password, everything will appear.

the problem is that the hidden columns are A, B, and C, so when I do this manipulation, my entire sheet gets selected and it doesn't work...

So click on E and without releasing go to A and release.  Now click between E and F (without releasing) and widen a bit)  I just tested it on Excel and it's OK

I shouldn't do what needs to be done because it only expands the displayed columns. But since A is also hidden, it must come from that, right?

No problem. So try this.

Select your entire sheet (by clicking on the small square above row 1. You see the one located to the left of column D in your case)

Your entire sheet is selected.

Click on Format --> Columns --> Show.

And you're all set.
I'm telling you this on Excel 2003, if you have 2007, convert these steps with what you need.

Hello,

Select the entire sheet by clicking on the small square located at the top left at the intersection of the rows and columns, then go to Format menu, Column => Show.

Hello,
I was intrigued by this problem.
After hiding columns A, B, C in Excel 2007, I clicked on the header of column D and dragged it left (a tooltip indicated that 4 columns were selected). Then I double-clicked at the intersection of the column D header and the rectangle. Nothing happened.
However, by then activating cell D1 and dragging left, columns A, B, C reappeared!!!
Another problem, when selecting a column and clicking on the Hide button in the View tab, the entire sheet gets hidden instead of just the selected column!!!
Final note: if you hide an empty column, you cannot make it reappear. The only solution is to use the Go To... command, enter something, and repeat the process to display the column (reminder, the mouse pointer takes the shape of a cross with two small arrows on the horizontal line).

It's this order that I don't see the use of.
However, when it comes to "finding" the other order, we can't say that Microsoft has kept it simple. Fortunately, there's the right click for the columns.

Hello, For me too, the panes were frozen, so the explanations given earlier didn’t work. So, I went to View/Freeze Panes/Unfreeze Panes and my columns A B C became accessible.
