Is it possible to have Internet without a box?

Good evening,

After a big fight between my parents, my father decided to cancel the contract with Free, so I can no longer watch TV, go on the Internet, play online with my friends, watch my anime, etc... On top of that, I never go out except Sundays to play football.

So, I’m asking if it’s possible to have Internet without a box? I’ve heard about 3G SIMs with a plan, but I didn’t really understand.
