Hello everyone!
My situation is very simple. I just bought a GPS, and with it comes a card reader for TransFlash/SD/mini SD/MMC/RS-MMC to transfer music, photos, or videos onto my GPS using the provided SD card. The only problem is that I have Windows 98, and no CD is provided with the driver for the USB key; they say for Windows XP users, you just need to plug it in, which is great, but what about those of us with Windows 98?
So, my little card reader doesn't work because Win 98 can't find a driver, of course! The card reader has no brand, so it's impossible to find the right driver!
I wanted to know if there is a universal driver that could make my little USB key work???
Thank you for taking a look at my topic, and I eagerly await your responses!
THANK YOU!

Hello, to make it work you need a key called flash USB driver, which will be accompanied by software that you will install on your PC.
Hello
The answer is above the question in similar topics ......

In Windows 98 1st edition, you have to "violate" Windows a bit for it to work, even if it tells you that this driver is not made for it, you say it is and force the installation.
For info, I also used the 6-in-1 or 8-in-1 card reader driver (can't remember) from the Lexar site for a somewhat stubborn USB stick under Windows 98.
It’s up to you
Good luck

Yes, I have the same problem, but I have Windows XP and it does not recognize my SD card reader without a driver. Would it be possible to have links that can provide me with links or other solutions? Thank you in advance.
I have Windows XP and I can't recognize my SD/MMC memory card reader; I'm looking for the drivers to make this USB device work.
Hello my friends, if you allow me, I have a USB problem that Windows cannot format. Is there a flash tool that can format it? Thank you.
Hello hombourgeois!
Thank you for your response, I looked at the other topics which indeed deal with the same problem. I tried the two "softwares" that were suggested but with no results, Windows still can't find the right driver...
BUT
... my problem is still resolved because I hadn't thought of something: I have a digital camera that reads flash cards, and I got lucky because it's the same type of card ^^
So everything is good, I'm transferring my data through my camera, it's not very practical but the main thing is that it works!
Thank you again!
