Hello,
I formatted my HP laptop (XP Home). Since then, when I start it, an error message appears: Error code 0x80090006. I can't resolve it with the Windows CD because my CD drive no longer works.
Is there another way to fix the problem?

it's the authentication of your license that is causing the problem!
Error code 0x80090006
This issue occurs because the drive letter has been changed.

I have already gone to Microsoft support, to no avail... Is it possible to repair Windows without a CD in my case? Knowing that I can only start my PC in safe mode.

In safe mode, perform a system restore to a date when the problem was not present and see.

Upon restarting my PC this morning, I received an error message that said: An error occurred, preventing the installation program from continuing. Windows cannot start because the registry could not be updated. To resolve this issue, please contact your computer manufacturer. Windows must now shut down. I then reformatted the computer and since then, there has been no error code 0x80090006.
