You will find your PC's serial number in the BIOS.

1- position yourself on the root (e.g.: C:\)
2- run the following command
wmic csproduct get name, identifyingnumber

on every brand PC, there is a green Windows sticker attached to it
- for a tower PC, it's on the back
- for a laptop, it's on the bottom

also, you should have created the recovery CDs, because with them you wouldn't have been asked for the 25-character Windows key
(unless you changed the motherboard and the processor)
