Disable sleep mode permanently

Hello,

I would like to permanently disable the sleep mode of my entire computer (screen + CPU) but I don't know how to do it. Can you please help me?

Knowing that I have already selected the term "NEVER" in My Computer/control panel/display/first tab/advanced settings... and I have selected the "ALWAYS ON" mode with all functions selected under "NEVER".

Thank you for helping me and giving me solutions.
Configuration: COMPAQ PRESARIO 5170 Pentium II Windows 98

try this: start menu: "run..." then type "cmd.exe"
in the window type "powercfg -h off" then press enter.

this command disables hibernation and deletes the hidden file "hiberfil.sys" at the root of your hard drive.

On a Windows XP PRO (or higher), you need to run cmd.exe with administrator rights.
