Convert an Illustrator vector to a path?

Hello,

As the title of my question suggests, I would like to know if it is possible to convert a vectorized image in Illustrator into a path, so that only the outline is kept.
This drawing will be cut out with a laser, and for now my image is in "mass" while I only want to keep the cut path.
Is there a simple operation to perform?

On PC, if I understood your question correctly, it would be Ctrl-Y

so I would maybe say Command-Y.
