I just bought a Windows 7 (64-bit) PC,
could you please tell me where to find the CD or DVD of the Scrabble game that works?

After various attempts, it seems that many Scrabble games do not work on Windows 7...

The UbiSoft versions from 2003...2005...2007...2009 in particular, "are always missing a file"...??? supposedly, always related to DirectX... And even if we install it, the message persists and the program doesn't even start..

One piece of advice: before buying, be sure to read the list of compatible systems and Windows 7 is not on the list

I only found the demo version of Amimo+ that works; but it's not the same thing.

If anyone knows the solution to get SCRABBLE Edition 2009 working on Windows 7, your advice would be greatly appreciated

Hello, I was experiencing the same issues as you with Windows 7 until this morning when it seems I found a solution.
Type "zylom.com/scrabble". They offer a nice scrabble game, which you can try for free for an hour, and if you like it, you can download it for 24.95 euros. They even offer to send you a backup copy for 4.99 euros.

I bought the 64-bit Scrabble from Zylom. Very good, but rejected by the little sisters of Sainte-Marie-des-Anges. All the vulgar words found in dictionaries and sometimes useful to play are not accepted.

Be more specific!! Which version of the game do you have? There are several Scrabble games, then check the official site to see if there are any patches or updates for Windows 7 specifically... So what is the full name of the game? And which version of your game is it?

I already explained that the French Scrabble from Ubisoft does not work on Windows 7. Just read the compatible systems on the packaging and you will see that Windows 7 is not listed.

The only one I managed to get working is ZYLOM, see the site:

It is indicated for Win 8, but it is possible to download a demo valid for 30 days... So we can try it and see if it works...

You sign up, and you are offered to download the game, it's quite fast, and you install it (I'm on Windows 7). The only difference from the CD-ROM is that it's a multiplayer game, so you actually play against real people, but you can also choose to play against the computer, although it's not great, and the graphics are more simplified. It's quite nice, I've adopted it for a few months now.

Well, I examined the problem, at least for the 2009 version of Ubisoft. Either from the CD or the ISO, you need to select all the content and copy it to a new folder that you will create on your desktop. Then, the installation takes place via the autorun. It worked for me. If it works when launching the game, a slight bug occurs due to a WMV video named Ubi.wmv located in program/Ubisoft/Scrabble2009/videos/. You just need to delete it. I also have the Ubisoft version of Scrabble Edition 2007 and 2009, and I can guarantee that these two years are compatible with Windows 7.
I just tried it on another computer running Windows 8, and the games work just as well.
However, this is not true for earlier versions (1999-2001-2003-2005).

For my part, I was looking for a Scrabble compatible with recent operating systems, and I am very satisfied with it.

Same problem with UBISOFT Scrabble 2009 on Windows 7-64.

Solution:
left-click on the "windows" ball
right-click on "computer"
right-click on "DVD drive UBISCRABBLE"
left-click on "open"
double-left-click on "scrabble"
