Hello everyone :)
I have the DeSmuMe emulator, as well as the Pokémon Black NDS ROM. The emulator works well and the game runs on DeSmuMe too.
But when I want to save my game and exit without losing my game data, I don’t know how to do it!
Should I save in the Pokémon game menu and then close DeSmuMe? Or should I save my data in the menu - File > Save As - from the DeSmuMe menu?
I’ve already tried several methods; I manage to find (what I think are) the saves, but I can’t load them!
Please help me...

So I'm also playing Pokémon White on my PC via DeSmuMe!
And I was just searching online for how to save, since previously over the weekend I played and saved from the ROM in the game... so when I relaunched the game earlier... nothing, no save!
So I tried F1, F2, etc., but nothing, no save on the computer either!
Then I stumbled upon your problem and tried what you said about saving via DeSmuMe, but it just won't save at all!
So I dug through the little list in the "File" tab of DeSmuMe and found "save state". You’ll see if you hover your mouse over it, another box appears and there are 9 columns from F1 to F9, you click on F1 and it saves =) So let me know if you need anything.

how to start in the game even in the settings it doesn't work? I can't even check my bag...

It's no longer start, it's X now, the bag, and it depends on the key on your keyboard that you assigned to X.

Yeah, it works, but I need to save just before, otherwise I'll go back to my last save, and indeed, it opens the bag, is that normal?

We can indeed save in the "save state" file, but the problem is that once you finish the game (after defeating the four councilors...), it's the END of the game, the credits, and then the game restarts.
Therefore, it is impossible to go further with this method because your last save will always bring you back before the end of the game!!! I must admit that I'm stuck; it would be necessary to be able to save directly in the game with "START" "SAVE" to continue after the "END" of the game so that it says "continue game" and not "new game."
If anyone knows how to do it. Thank you.
