Question

Hello,
I have an Acer Aspire D250 notebook running Windows 7 Starter, and since today, upon startup, it shows me:

Windows failed to start. A recent software change might be the cause of this issue. To fix the problem:
1. Insert the Windows installation disc and restart the computer.
2. Choose your language settings and click "Next".
3. Click "Repair your computer".
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or the manufacturer of your computer for assistance.
Status: 0xc000000e
Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.

Of course, my notebook does not have a CD drive, and I do not have the disc either.
I can't boot into safe mode (I press F8 on startup or F11 and nothing happens)
I managed to bring up the window "choose an operating system or press tab to choose a tool."
I press F8 to display advanced options, but it takes me back to the startup error page.
Thank you for helping me as soon as possible, because tomorrow around noon, I'm leaving for two days.

PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!

For those who might be in the same situation as I was, here is the solution!
1) Go here and download the Windows 7 Recovery Disc according to your version (32 or 64 Bits) https://neosmart.net/blog/2009/windows-7-system-repair-discs/

2) Install BitTorrent and do its updates.

3) In BitTorrent, click on add a torrent (gray square with a white T inside and a green + next to it) and add the torrent you downloaded earlier.

4) Once the download is finished, take a burning software (I used "Roxio Creator Basic v9") and burn it.

5) For notebooks, put the hard drive into a desktop to have a CD drive or connect an external drive.

6) Turn on the computer, and at startup, press F12 to choose to boot from the CD drive.

7) Once loading is finished, follow the on-screen instructions, and restart when prompted.

8) There you go, your computer is repaired! It's normal that you can't access it from your desktop due to drivers, etc., so turn off your desktop, unplug your hard drive, and put it back on your notebook.
It may be slow to start, as it reconfigures its settings.

For me, it was an update that went wrong, as at startup, it re-did the update, which went well this time.

Note: I was also infected with a very dangerous classified trojan.

If that's the case, run a scandisk:  They can also be launched from the Command Prompt in the Recovery Tools... chkdsk c: /f  chkdsk c: /r  chkdsk C: /f /r

I also noticed that I do not have access to "Windows Memory Diagnostic"; it gives me the same error code but with the message "File \boot\memtest.exe."
It seems like it does not have access to the hard drive even though it is running.
I managed to run Android on my computer because it is installed on a flash memory and not on the hard drive.
So it seems like a hard drive problem...

Uh... it gives you the choice between several systems??  it's possible that the problem comes from the bootloader that may have been modified by the installation of Mac OS X or others...

He only gives me Windows 7 as an option. I haven't tried installing Mac OS X or anything else; I haven't done anything special the last time I used it.

However, I had found a few issues before that...

1) When it was plugged in on battery and on power, it made a "tac tac tac..." sound, but only when the battery was full. Once I unplugged it, the noise stopped. The noise didn't come from the hard drive.

2) When I put it to sleep, one time out of five, it wouldn't wake up, saying it hadn't retained the mapping and that a firmware update could resolve the issue.

I connected the hard drive from my notebook to my desktop, and the same message appeared.

Well, I bought a SATA cable, and I can access all my data, even the Windows files... I'm backing everything up to another hard drive, but I don't understand, if I can access the Windows files, why doesn't it start?

Local Disk (H:) 3.98GB free out of 4GB

Before, only Acer (G:) was visible.
Where do the others come from? Do they have anything to do with the error?

I miraculously found a Wi-Fi access point to connect with my iPod, and I wanted to tell you that before leaving, I ran all the Check Disk commands, but the problem still occurs. I won't have access to the computers until Monday, but thank you for suggesting other solutions, as I don't understand; I was able to make a full backup of my hard drive, even the Windows file.

Hello,
I encountered this error Status: 0xc000000e after restoring a ghost made by Nero (utility of #!:{[|'\) on a netbook. After three days of intense geek work to emulate a CD or make a bootable USB, I thought I had finally solved this stupid error.

In my opinion, Nero did not correct the letter of the new HD. To boot, you need a C:\ drive, but when you connect it to another PC for the implantation, a different letter must be assigned to the future boot partition.

Anyway, a silly thing that shouldn't be giving us #¤¤{|''!!

Well, despite the Win7 repair disc being bootable or Win7 on a bootable USB, my computer (Asus EEE PE) kept giving the error. Note that the BIOS recognized my HD (a Hitachi).

Just before it learned to fly, while rereading this forum that had given me the idea, I thought that during boot, I would methodically press all the keys that have an effect.
With TAB, I got the screen asking if I wanted to boot with Win7. So this #|[\'de computer knew there was an HD, it knew there was Win7 on it
but nothing more except:
File: \boot\memtest.exe

Not much progress, I informed myself; I need to go through software like Windows Boot Loader.
Well, I reached my limit, it's too hardcore for me, I’ll continue what I was doing:

“Miracle” by pressing ESC finally it indicated in a weird window whether I wanted to boot from my Hitachi HD or my bootable USB
No doubt, it will be from the one that contains Win7 and the repair disc.

Win7 initializes, I reach the 'Install Win7' screen and in small hyperlink: Repair.
Repair
It searches for an installation, an image, in short, it works like we expected it to work for ...5 days now!

And I'm at a window: 'System Recovery option' that tells me (if you press details):
The following startup option will be repaired (yes great!!!):

Identifier: {a weird code}

The following startup options will be deleted:

Wow, you have everything live. You catch that apparently it's telling me it's going to repair and that it was really a simple thing???

So what do I do??? Do I press OK???
