Hi, here's a link that automatically detects your hardware and gives you the appropriate drivers: http://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=29
There you go, make sure to accept the plugin! See you!

Hi,

Normally, if you are using the FireWire interface, you don't need drivers. Your camera should be recognized automatically.
Check if your FireWire (IEEE1394) card is up to date.
It could also be a problem with the camera. If you have the chance, try it on another PC.

HTH,

The answer is still correct: you just need to connect the camcorder via the DV port using FireWire, and there’s no need for a specific driver; XP recognizes the 530i immediately.
Note: the DV port is located at the bottom of the device, on the front face (you need to lift a sort of cover).

Hello,
What cable can I use with a MAC? I used to use a FireWire with my old PC, but my iBook doesn't have a FireWire port..
If anyone has information on using the Canon MV530i Camcorder with a Mac, I would be interested!
Thank you very much.
