Re-enable "Always ask before opening this..." Solved

Question

Hello,

In Outlook Express 6, I accidentally unchecked the box "Always ask before opening this type of file" which appears in the dialog box for opening a .pdf attachment. Now the dialog box no longer appears, of course, but I would like it to appear again...

I tried the solution that involves going (in Windows Explorer) to Folder Options > File Types > PDF > Advanced and checking the box "Confirm open after downloading", but that doesn't change anything about my problem!!!

Can someone help me please?

normally it is: folder options select the extension edit or advanced check confirm opening and no reading

Hello,

In this case, you need to delete the value directly in the registry:

- Click on Start > Run
- Type regedit
- Access the directory HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\AttachmentExecute\{DEEAA3EC-685F-46AE-8110-8D39A0556B78}
- Delete the file named "PDF" (in your case)

And normally, it should be okay!
