Hello,
serious problem, I am in 9th grade
How to write a fraction correctly with Pages on Mac Intel
We hate using Word:
Pages is simpler, faster...but
the math teacher can no longer stand it when we write 2/3,
(it's barely if she doesn’t refuse to allow computers in class,
while I can’t write)
she wants a horizontal fraction bar
Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 533.19.4

Hello and thank you for your response
but if I have a Mac it's not to spend time reading the functionality
everything is obvious and easy
but right now it’s not working, I want to be able to write 2/3 as a fraction with a horizontal line
The math teacher wants me to write it "normally" on the computer to see the simplifications I can make...
Who can help?
thank you

Hello, personally, I use the Grapher software (already on your Mac) I write the fraction and I copy-paste it to Pages

Hello,
You should always think about consulting the help of the software used when in doubt. Here’s what is said about fractions:
To define a fraction format for the selected cells:
Select the cell or cells.
Click on Inspector in the toolbar, then on the Table button, and then on Format.
Choose Fractions from the Cell Format dropdown menu.
Choose a display format from the Precision dropdown menu.
I didn’t look further, it's up to you.

Hello Dédé 74000
I'm sorry to say that it's the first time I've been told that.
But I've already tried your answer a long time ago.
It has nothing to do with a coherent solution to be the solution.
So I called Apple in Ireland at 0800 046 046
They tell me there's no easy solution for that: you have to go to the line.
I made a "request?" to ask for improvement.
See you!

This is the kind of "idiotic" response that doesn't deserve any further thought from an immature being!
