Hello,
I have a small problem. My TI-83 Plus calculator was too slow, so I decided to delete all the memory. My little problem is that my calculator was in French. After resetting the memory, my calculator has become English. Unfortunately, I later found a piece of paper in the manual that indicated this would delete the application in French. Could someone tell me if I can download the application to set the calculator back to French? I'm begging you, I'm in the final year of ES, and I have a mock exam coming up soon.

Thanks in advance

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.12

yes it's very simple look on the official ti website however the cable is mandatory :) when you download it you transfer it with ticonnect to your calculator and then contact me again (it's simple after :) )

So, do you have the cable? And the CD? If you don't have the CD, download the software n ti83.plus fr on your computer. Then, you connect your calculator and download the French application on your calculator. I couldn't do it because my computer doesn't recognize and doesn't want to recognize my calculator, good luck!

Yes, I have the cable and the CD, but my computer still doesn't recognize my calculator; it makes a weird noise when I plug it in, and it's the first time I'm doing this. Additionally, I tried to download the application in French that's on the TI website, but it takes me to an unknown site!
      Thanks anyway.

Listen, it's been a long time since I've dealt with the TI-83+, but since it's my first one and I spent more than 4 years with it, I still remember that you need either a TI-TP or TI-PC cable. The installation CD is optional; I never had one, and yet... :)
If you have either of those two cables, let me know; otherwise... :/

      Is the driver installed??
Personally, I use it under XP with TI Connect and I've never encountered any problems, but on Vista, I had to try several times (no more than ten times turning the calculator off and on and reconnecting until it was detected on Windows 7 and I never tried it on Mac, and apparently the issues encountered are even more significant.... : /

I had the same problem as you. I have the cable, but my current issue is that my TI-83 Plus calculator is not being detected by my computer. I have the TI software, but it doesn't find my calculator. However, when I connect the cable to the computer, my calculator turns on. But then nothing happens; there's the "beep," but the software does not detect it. What should I do?
