Google Translate is not working anymore. Solved

Hello, does anyone know why my Google toolbar translation isn't working anymore?? Thanks in advance if you have an answer.    Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

I have the same problem; I have Windows 10 and I am using Internet Explorer, and when I click on translation in my Google toolbar, it says translation in progress and it spins for a long time without translating the page!! Thank you for your advice

I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and installed the Google toolbar, and the translation works; I will switch back to IE later.

On Windows 7 and IE8, if the automatic translation of web pages is not working after installing the Google toolbar.
Click on Internet Options/Manage Add-ons, in the window that opens: Toolbars and Extensions
Disable all add-ons EXCEPT for Google and Java
Try the translation and possibly reactivate the add-ons one by one to identify the disruptor.

I experienced the same problem multiple times under XP3
This occurs when IE8 has been installed multiple times...

In this case, in the WINDOWS folder, you will find a folder named IE8, but also IE8 (2) or even IE8 (2)(2)

In this case, IE8 does not work properly...

Solution: completely uninstall IE8 by going to Control Panel / Uninstall a program - look for WINDOWS IE8 and uninstall it

It is possible that some files may not be found by WINDOWS during the uninstallation because they are located in the folders IE8 (2) or (2)(2)

At this stage, if necessary, delete the folders IE8(2) and IE8 (2)(2)

After a successful uninstallation, Internet Explorer will be the original version...

The translation function works again

Reinstall IE8 - the translation works

In Windows, there is only the IE8 folder

I have the same problem with Google Translation.
It's just a bit different for me, when I click on translate, I have a little circle that spins in front of Google as if the translation is about to happen, but it keeps spinning without stopping!!
I have to change the page because Google is searching for the translation for long minutes and I don't get any translation at all ???
Do you think I have the same problem??
What should I do, the same thing held53 suggested??
Can you help me please? Also, I'm not very good with computers and I'm afraid of making mistakes if it's too complicated to do and nothing works anymore!!

I uninstalled and reinstalled, but nothing has changed. The only solution I found is when I'm on my Google search page, there is a "translate the page" option next to it, and I click on it. At least I have these translations
