I don't see the point, unless you're studying computer science?

    sxw ext.

[type (files)] File name extension used for documents from StarOffice and OpenOffice word processors. The data is in XML and compressed.

Doing office work = studying computer science?
    Indeed, there's a problem!

A friend gave me a central unit and when I start it, I find a program called
SUSE Linux (green frog) and Windows XP. The files I create on this Windows have an sxw extension???
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET NORMAL FILES.

I assure you that SXW files are perfectly normal.

Why hack MS-Office when there is a free solution? Use OpenOffice.org

I don't see the connection with computer studies since OpenOffice is a completely free office suite (like MS Office), so there's no need to be a (future) computer scientist to use it.
