Hello,
I have an HP Pavilion computer and the power button is broken; it won’t turn on anymore! My father took out the button and broke some pieces inside...
What should I do? Please help me!
Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you for your response! I'd like to turn on my computer without having to disassemble everything and without tinkering too much, and I also don't want to pay a lot for the repair, but I'll see.
the two wires should be connected to the power button, so now they might be slightly inside the PC. Logically, there is one white and one of another color.
Look at the location of the broken button behind the metal part of the computer.

Before anything else, I make sure to have looked everywhere
and especially when my problem is solved, I mark my question as resolved.

And I would like to know how to remove the front panel because my father managed to remove the sides but not the front.
Hello
On this button, you have two wires coming in; strip them a bit and make contact. Your computer should start up then.
Later, you should put a push button there. Just make sure not to leave them in contact continuously.
Keep me updated, have a nice day
First of all, I make sure to have searched everywhere

you must have access to the thread without clearing the cache first, give me the exact model of the pavilion to find a photo and guide you

So when you look through the open side by your father, you should see two wires, normally located about at button height.
(Be careful to unplug your PC from the 220 before doing any of these manipulations)
When you find these two wires, simply cut them as cleanly as possible and as close to the old button as you can, or try to disconnect them from what's left of the button. Then repeat the procedure written above. If you have any doubts, consult a professional and ask for a quote first.

Yes, I will do that and if there is a problem, I will explain the issue to you. Thank you for your help!
As stef8-5 said, a temporary solution would be to connect these two wires. A more permanent solution is to retrieve the switch from an old PC (or buy a new switch... no idea where to get one though) and connect it in place of the old one.
The connector plugs directly into the motherboard, in place of the old one.

Re
To be honest, I'm not too knowledgeable about anything computer-related, I can't see these two wires =S
And thank you for replying to me

Yes, I think I know what you're talking about, but I'm a bit afraid to take everything apart for fear of making mistakes :/
Ahh, I forgot that it's a laptop... that really complicates things. If you're not much of a tinkerer, it's better to send it for repair (it'll cost you around €30).
The manipulation is relatively simple, but risky for a novice.
