Hello,
I have an old laptop that won't turn on anymore. After insisting for an hour on the button, it finally turned on.
I think it's a problem with the power button.
I've heard of WakeOnLan, and I've done tests with other computers before trying it on the affected one, but without success (I followed the tutorial: https://www.commentcamarche.net/informatique/windows/1657-allumer-ou-eteindre-un-pc-a-distance/ ).
Is there a way to turn on a laptop other than using the power button or WakeOnLan?
Thank you for your replies.

Hi, there’s a quite simple way (it's to remove the front cover of the computer where the power button is located) and to make contact with a big pencil lead, handy if your button is damaged, but the problem is that you have to carry a pencil around all the time ^^
PS: The cover snaps off very easily. -
Okay, I'll give it a try.
Thank you for your response.
