Indicator for Nikon Coolpix L21

Hello,

I bought this digital device that satisfies me greatly! However, a red light (in the shape of a clock) blinks constantly as soon as I use the device.
What is it for (I thought it was the timer but it's OFF) and how can I turn it off?

    Hello,
    I eventually did some research on the NIKON site and the answer is:

    update the time and date!

    it's that simple - this indicator simply means that the internal clock is not set.
