Hello,

I have a problem with my LG FA163 hi-fi system. Every time I try to remove the CD inside by pressing "eject", the message "lock on" appears. No matter what I do with the system or the remote control, nothing works, and the manual doesn't mention it. I can't find help in online forums either, please help me.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.10

    Hello,

I just found the solution at the address below for the same problem, with, however, a FB163 (but I think it should solve your issue too):
    http://www.fixya.com/support/t7426565-ve_lg_mini

    The solution in question:

    1 Turn off the system

2 Press "stop" on the system (not on the remote control) for about ten seconds until Unlock appears on the screen

Note => since on the FB163 these are touch buttons, feel free to place multiple fingers at the same time to ensure the operation works

3 Turn the system back on, let the CD load and eject the CD

It's not to you that I'll explain the relief of finally being able to eject that f***ing CD!

    Hoping to have helped you

    Fred

Same issue for a FA 163. I pressed the stop and next button simultaneously.

I finally found the solution on another site, and it feels good after such a long time.
So you have to press the "STOP" touch button on the hi-fi system and then press the "back" button on the remote control for about 10 seconds. You need to hold both buttons down at the same time.
A message will appear, and the system will be reset. So no more saved radio stations, but at least this manipulation allows you to eject the CD...

Is the "back" button on the remote control?

I tried everything and nothing works, I know it means to lock but the manual doesn't mention it.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem! The little hole that Juju is talking about does not exist on the FA163! Does anyone have a solution, please? Thank you in advance.

I have exactly the same problem as you, and it's starting to annoy me a bit. I contacted LG customer service but haven't received a response. Have you found a solution?

I tried everything that was said above, nothing worked!!!
For a FA 163, you need to:
    -turn on the system
-press the STOP button on the system and the STOP button on the remote control simultaneously
    -...wait a few seconds...
-the message "lock off" appears on the screen...
    -problem solved!!!...and what a relief!!!

...otherwise, for other questions, please do not contact me... I am terrible at computers!
    Have a good day

Yes, my channel has gone into protection mode and I can't turn it off; everything is messed up.

"bonj" means "lock" (it's not a breakdown) refer to the troubleshooting manual.
