Lock Excel date format

Hello,

I am looking to lock cells in an Excel file of the type .../.../... so that users cannot enter anything other than a date.

Thank you for your quick response as this is a professional issue.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.8

Hello,
Data/Validation
Choose "Allow": "Date"
Then make your selection according to the dates to be entered...
Example:
"Data": greater than
"Start date": 01/01/1900

Thank you for the solution, but is it possible to show the slashes, for example ../../.... so that people understand how to fill in the box.

You can, still in Data/Validation in the "input message" tab, choose to give a hint to the user.
Here is an example file with Date required in B4.
