Word 2007 Error "An error has occurred"

Hello,

I have had Office 2007 for almost a year without any issues.
About a month ago, I can no longer open a Word file by double-clicking on it because a message tells me:
"An error occurred while sending a command to the program."

I can still open my file by clicking on my "Word 2007" shortcut and then going to: file/open

I have searched everywhere on forums to find a solution to my problem without any results.

I would like to know if someone could help me as I have already tried changing Word's compatibility for different OS versions, but it hasn't changed anything.

you need to remember to update the license key as well.
