Problem with Word 2007

Hello, when opening Word 2007 an error message appears: "the command cannot be executed because a dialog box is open." I really don't understand what this means. For your information, I don't have Norton but Avast as my antivirus.

    Hello

    Have you tried a repair? Go to the control panel, Programs, click on Microsoft Office, and select Modify, then Repair.

      I tried but I can't access this function, and unfortunately I no longer have the installation CD for Microsoft Office.
