Hello, I bought an issue of the Joystick magazine a long time ago and received a double-sided DVD with it, but my DVD player doesn't read it. My player reads DVDs. The disk is read on my father's computer. At worst, a solution to install Painkiller via my father's computer works too.
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.8

Hi,
it's a dual-layer DVD, not a double-sided one.
Your DVD player is old, so you need a new DVD player specially designed for this kind of DVD because a dual-layer DVD is a BLU-RAY.

Maybe your father's computer's drive is new and compatible with this new technology, so it's impossible to read your DVD without a specialized player.

This is indeed a DOUBLE-SIDED DVD and not a DOUBLE LAYER, which has nothing to do with BLU-RAY, by the way. It is a DVD with a writable surface on both sides, no printed image. It should be noted that double-sided DVDs are supposed to be readable by all types of DVD players. But perhaps it is indeed a double-layer issue. A DL and double-sided DVD is VERY rare, but it is possible. I will check, thank you.
