Disassembling eMachines E430 Laptop

Hello, I recently have a black screen issue when starting my computer.
I would like to know, if you have it, the disassembly steps for this PC. (I think the entire E range is similar.)

Best regards, thank you.

Configuration: Windows Vista / Opera 9.80

First, you should get a screwdriver (French or American).
Then turn your computer over to start with the screws underneath. Make sure to keep the screws organized after removing them. Once you're done with those, open your computer, and using a French screwdriver (flat), remove the cover that covers the speakers (where the power button is located). Do it gently because there are wires underneath. You could cut them if you’re not very careful. Once you've removed it, you'll be able to easily take out the keyboard. To make your job easier, disconnect the keyboard from the motherboard and set it aside. Next, remove the screws located where the keyboard is, then those near the speakers that support the screen. But that's not all; there are other screws hidden under the screen. If you manage to remove all these screws, the rest will be a piece of cake.

Yes, always. A black screen issue can be caused by many things, and if it's a technical problem, I doubt you can solve it. So I recommend contacting customer service.

conseil ;) : check the sheet in the top right under the keyboard, it's the backlight :)

Thank you, Arthur...

Thanks to your post, I was able to open my old laptop that had a damaged power connector.
It's true, it's not very complicated. You just have to be careful and have fine tools.

Ahh another thing, I bought it on the Cdiscount site. It is still under warranty. Should I use the warranty or try restarting the BIOS by removing the battery?

You're welcome, I'm glad if it could help you. It's the least I can do to give a tip to someone in need. Good luck for what’s next, you know these things aren’t as complicated as they seem. You just need to be curious and attentive, and you're good to go.

Hello, wow Cdiscount is awful... Sorry, but their customer service is completely useless. I know what I'm talking about; I had a Logitech Z2300 sound kit that burned out. I called them, and they said to send it back and wait for a code to stick on the box. Finally, once I received it, it weighed over 25 kg. So they send me an email saying they're giving me an 85 euro voucher while I paid 125 euros. They told me no, they won't refund me because it's been 6 months and I've opened it. I replied, well, yes, if it's to buy it and just look at it, that's pointless. Anyway, I haven't ordered from them in over a year now, so I'm going to LDLC instead.

I read the best post, the first one, and I still didn't want to dismantle the computer (because it belongs to a friend)
so if someone knows how to proceed to dismantle an eMachine series E725, that would be nice
I don't think it's the same computer that's being discussed here.
