Stuck on Excel

Question

Hello,

I'm currently working on Excel 2007. I wanted to insert a spinner button into my spreadsheet.
The problem is that I've erased the formula that was created when I made the button, and now I don't know what to enter in it, and the software keeps displaying "Invalid reference".

I can't delete the button, I can't close my sheet, and I can't close Excel. In short, I’m completely stuck.

If someone could help me come up with a random valid formula so that I can delete this button, that would be really nice because I don't know what to do anymore.

6 and a half years later... At the formula level, click on the cross. This will exit the input request!
Otherwise, more drastically, if you have made regular backups, force close Excel in your task manager, it will reopen without displaying "Invalid reference", delete your button and start over.

try =A1  it's a valid formula.  otherwise, you cannot right-click on the button, there should be a menu (delete would be the right option to take)

If I type =A1 an error message appears and says "Invalid reference".  If I try right-clicking, I have no options that appear and again the same error message appears...

Hello, Try with... Ribbon > click on the button should be selected with handles.. right-click on the button and in the menu >> Cut. It's a first step. We'll see later.
