Noisy freeplugs

Hello,

My freeplugs are producing a very unpleasant buzzing noise. I have to unplug the 12V power supply from the Freebox and the HD box every night to eliminate this noise. I would like to know if connecting an external 12V power supply and using only the ethernet cable from the freeplug would allow the setup to work properly and without noise.

I would also like to know if it is possible to use an ethernet splitter to connect the HD box and a PS3 on a single freeplug.

I have already asked my questions to the technical service of Free, who keep giving me the same response (thank you for the copy/paste): "Have you properly plugged in your freeplugs...". Yes, everything is properly connected, and the internet works very well. I hope to find someone here who has already tested the connections I am suggesting or at least someone who can clearly tell me whether or not I can do this.

Thank you in advance and have a nice day.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 7.0

I was thinking of an Ethernet splitter, like a Y cable.

    An example here:

It all depends on what you mean by an internet splitter...

A hub or a switch connected to the freeplug should work fine...

No, this type of accessory should not be used. Hubs or switches are not very expensive and are made for that... theoretically, these splitters should not exist.
