Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 7.0
I followed everything mentioned above, but at the last step I don't see Upperfilter and lowerfilter and it's frustrating....

Hello,
If your problem is the same, that is, error code 39 in the "Device Manager", deleting the upperfilters and lowerfilters is the solution; otherwise, you need to investigate further.
A much simpler method to remove these "unwanted items":
Save the following file to your desktop: http://docxp.mvps.org/b1n/DisparitionCD.inf
Then right-click on it and select "install" and restart your PC

I'm sorry, but in the device manager, no problems are reported, but my drive recognizes all discs as blank, which bothers me a lot. So I want to try to resolve this using this method; is it possible?

I don’t think so, but it doesn’t hurt to try; it won’t do any harm.
Good documentation on the issue here: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/2492-cd-rom-lecteur-ou-graveur-cd-dvd-non-reconnu
It’s also necessary to check if the drive appears in My Computer; if not, see if it appears in Device Manager and finally in the BIOS. Based on what you describe, I think it should appear everywhere.
Could the problem be related to the driver? Or the fact that the driver is not compatible with Windows Seven?

Hello,
I saw in the other topic (duplicate) that you checked the driver update. Don't rely on Windows to do it.
The best thing is to run a detection here: https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=29
