My PC does not detect my PSP... Closed

Question

Hello,
So I got my PSP yesterday, and when I connect it (after putting the USB mode on my PSP), my PSP is not recognized; it just says PSP-type A but asks me for a driver. I have XP, and it's the first time it asks me for a driver.
How can I find this driver for XP?

Have you tried changing the USB cable??

I had a charging/USB/mini-USB cable that worked very well for two years, I swapped it with a simple USB/mini-USB, and everything works perfectly.

In order for the PSP to be recognized by Windows XP, make sure THERE IS A MEMORY CARD INSERTED IN THE PSP!!!!!!!!!!!
If there is one, press X on USB Connection on the PSP, then wait 10 seconds and go to My Computer, then it’s Removable Disk.

Hi, first for the music and the photos, you need to format your memory after all your backups will be deleted! You need to plug your USB cable into the computer and then into the PSP.
