Hello,
I would like to know how to take a screenshot of part of the screen. I click on the part I want to capture, but my computer captures the whole page, so either I don't understand how it works, or my computer is just acting up..... Can you please explain how I should do it? :))) Thank you in advance for your responses!!

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.3

ALT+Print Screen (or ALT+PRTSC) only copies part of the screen (the active window only) and not the whole thing.

If you want a specific part clearly defined, you need to do a Print Screen and then crop what you want to keep in photo editing software... such as Photoshop, Gimp, or Paintshop. (Cropping tool)

Capture, then paste it on Paint, select your part, cut it and paste it where you want
Let's complicate our lives, it's easier that way.

Hello,

You can capture the entire page and then go to Paint and select the part you want to keep. You cut it and save it.

Otherwise, I don't see any other ways.

Best regards.

Hi,

As they say when you're cropping your image with Paint.

Or, since you have Firefox, you have several extensions that can take screenshots of your entire screen or parts of the page.

Like Pearl Crescent Page Saver Basic

FireShot

Screen Capture Elite

But what I prefer is CaptEcran

....And you have several Here

Yes, thank you, but I prefer Paint because I don't like installing programs, especially since I hardly have any space left. But no, thank you anyway, so.

Hello,
on Vista you have the Snipping Tool to copy the part you want.
