Specify your problem.

Are you using the original remote control or a universal remote control? (What is the brand and model?)
Does your remote control have any effect on the TV when you press a number button?

Is there a Menu button (or simply M) on your remote control?
If I strictly stick to what you are asking, by pressing this button you should see several lines offering each an action for your television. Then, using the 4 directional arrows and the center button, you should be able to navigate through the different pages of the menu. In particular, the automatic channel search.

It is practically impossible to find the manuals for Grandin online, which is a distributor brand, especially Conforama, not a manufacturer.

You buy a universal remote control.

With this remote, you will receive a manual that will allow you to adapt it to your TV and will specifically provide you with the codes for the Grandin brand. But be careful not to choose just any remote; since Grandin is not a widely recognized brand outside of France, your TV might not be recognized.

I don't know the brands of remote controls sold in Germany, but there are certainly Philips and ONE for all which you should be able to find easily. With these brands, there won't be any unpleasant surprises either, and the day you want to find the manual and list of codes that you misplaced, you'll easily find them on the Internet.

Unless you plan to use it for something else later, stick to a remote for a television. There's no need to get a remote that also controls a bunch of other devices: a second TV, a VCR, a DVD player, a radio, etc.

It can be a code of 3 or 4 digits. It depends on the remotes.

Entering this code adapts the remote to the device you want to use it with, for all functions.

As for the rest, I don't understand anything about your story about the dog that ate a remote control your brother gave you. Did he really eat it and you don't have it anymore, or did he just bite it?

I have a big problem! My 7-month-old son got hold of the universal remote and now all the buttons are reversed, and I can’t use some of them. I tried with another universal remote but it’s the same... I can’t switch to 16:9, the button for that doesn’t correspond... When I try to turn on subtitles, the sound cuts out???!!! :s HELP!!!!

If you don't know how to do it, check the manual; if you don’t have it anymore, please indicate the brand and model of your remote.

Hello jmp59, from what I can see you are knowledgeable, and so as not to annoy you more than you already are ;) the brand of the universal remote I just bought is an SBC RU 252 (Philips) and logically my television is a Grandin... I no longer have my old remote and I'm unable to set up my new one... After using all the codes found in the manual (4-digit code) I am asking for help!! I'm really desperate.... Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I assume you searched for codes for Grandin from http://www.urc.philips.com/ and when you got to 2 - Choose a document, you selected Find codes ...... And the codes you noted and tried didn’t work at all.
Not surprising to me, even if your TV is a Grandin.
You need to select Search for a code for my device automatically, which will open a page where everything is explained.

Hello,

Your television and remote control seem to be incompatible. This is much more common than the term "universal" might suggest. However, it's not your TV that needs changing, but your remote control.

The safest solution is a replacement remote that also has the advantage of functioning like the original remote.
You go HERE and enter the brand and model of your TV.
It's very rare that the remote control you need isn't available. If that's the case, you would just have to call them to ask what they can offer you.

Hello, I have a Grandin 55FV05 television and after an incident, I had to buy a universal remote URC22B-10B. Unfortunately, no code! I found one online which is 610 or 620, is it good? I can't remember! This code helped me to turn on the TV but none of the buttons work, and I no longer have the remote control user manual. Also, the buttons on the front of my TV are unresponsive! I am subscribed to Numericable! Could it be because of that?? Please help me, I don't have an A.V. so I can't use my game console anymore!!! This is a big mess! Thank you for everything you do! Hello,  With Grandin, it would be very risky to take a universal remote control without being sure it's compatible with your TV. To check that, you need the model reference and not the number you provided, which is a serial number.  It will probably be better to get a replacement remote control that is exactly the same, apart from its appearance, as the original remote control.  -- Errare humanum est, perseverare diabolicum.

Have you tried searching for the code as explained in the manual?  Unfortunately, so-called universal remotes are much less universal than their manufacturers claim. Hello everyone, Hi and a shout out to jmp59 I have a Grandin TV (model NR 55SBT03ARG) that works very well. The original remote, which has no particular insignia or brand, is exactly the one defined on the website: http://www.bpt31.com/RemoteWallisG/PhotosRemoteGrandin.html  by photo 84627. This remote only works occasionally! Sometimes I turn on the TV manually and the remote starts working again, I can send commands, the LED on the remote lights up and everything works fine without having touched anything! Then, on another day, the remote doesn't work anymore!!! Even after changing the batteries which I thought were defective, the result is the same.. I no longer have the manual. Currently the remote is not working anymore, do you have any ideas on how to get this remote working again? Thank you for your friendly technical help. Best regards Anpayada

Hello,  It is almost certainly a bad contact somewhere in the remote control and I'm not a miracle worker!  I remember having a similar problem a long time ago. The bad contact was at what you call the LED but which is also an infrared emitter. By fiddling with it, I managed to get my remote to work. And eventually, by wedging it with small pieces of paper in the right position, I was able to get my remote working for the lifespan of the TV.  Unfortunately, I have nothing else to offer you... other than buying another remote control.  -- To err is human, to persist is diabolical.

Hello everyone, A big thank you to jmp59 for your response and your... speed! I have exactly the symptoms you described regarding the IR transmitter; I agree with you that it seems to be a bad connection because sometimes, for reasons I don't know, the remote starts working again... Once, out of frustration, I threw it on the table and oh miracle, it started working again! I'm going to attempt open-heart surgery, and if I don't succeed, I think I'll throw it back on the table rather harshly. However, if I manage to find something, for the sake of experimentation, I'll let you know on this site.
