Hello,

I'm writing to you after a lot of research to get the Canon iR1022A multifunction printer to work.
I am currently on Mac OS X but I would also like to, possibly, get it to work in the future on Windows.
I no longer have the installation CD that came with this printer.
I downloaded the drivers from the Canon website, and once installed, I am able to print perfectly in a standard way. However, when it comes to scanning, nothing works...
I try to import an image using different software via the scanner, and my computer doesn't seem to recognize that such a device is connected to it.

I don't know what other information you might need, but I'm glued to my chair and ready to provide it.

Thank you for your help.

Maxime

Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 531.22.7

A little bump... just to let you know that I still haven't found it...

What's strange is that when I print something, the computer recognizes the device as a multifunction printer, even the logo represents a multifunction printer and not just a regular printer.
In the hope that this driver is enough, do you know which application I could try to scan with otherwise?

I don't have any ? or ! in my device manager because I am on a Mac...
I have indeed heard about the Twain driver but I can't find it for the iR1022A. Moreover, your link explains how to install it on a PC and I am... sorry... on a Mac.
I am starting to tear my hair out. I have the impression, while browsing the forums, that everything is much simpler under Snow Leopard for scanning... And I am only on Leopard...
When I try to add a printer in "Printers and Fax" in "System Preferences," I don't see any column, tab, or icon for "scanner" at any point....

Ah it's on Mac, yet according to the initial message: I am currently on Mac OS X but I would also, possibly, like to make it work in the future on Windows.

I understood that it was for Windows

Yes indeed, thank you for your tip for the PC which I have more hope for.
But for now (it's my fault, I didn't specify), the priority is to get it working on this damn MAC OS X 10.5.8...
