Unable to connect to Chatroulette

Hello,
So, I’ve known about Chatroulette for a while but I never really tried it out. However, recently the phenomenon has gained traction, as you’ve probably noticed. Being a nice sheep and liking the concept, I would really like to test it.
The thing is, whenever I try to connect to Chatroulette, the page displays for about 5-10 seconds and then the browser (Firefox or IE) crashes. I’ve tried looking for a solution but I haven’t really found one.
One solution that seemed to satisfy a lot of people was to uninstall Fake Webcam. Since I’ve never installed it, that solution doesn’t work for me.
There you go, some extra info: my computer is a Sony Vaio with an integrated camera and I’m running on Vista.
