Indesign Double-Sided

Hello,
I've been stuck on InDesign for a week with a little problem that's driving me crazy; any help would be WELCOME.
My problem: I created a 14.5 by 14.5 invitation, double-sided (or at least I think so, I checked the "Facing Pages" box). So far, everything is fine, but the two pages match; they are exactly the same size, so it's all good.
When I export to PDF for printing, however... I ALWAYS have a significant shift between the front and the back. I don't understand where it's coming from, and I've tried everything; nothing works...
Does anyone have any ideas?
THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6

Hello,

This is because when you print, there are no cutting marks...

This allows the printer to align the pages and trim them to the final format.

Suppose you want to do double-sided printing.
Your outer margins are 17 mm and your inner margins are 18 mm.
The verso page (even) will be placed on the back of the recto page (odd), so the margins will indeed be reversed.
The recto page will have 18 mm on the left and 17 mm on the right, and the verso will have 17 mm on the left and 18 mm on the right, since it is on the back... so aligned in the same way.

But if you print without guides, you will have an offset...

However, you must check double-sided for brochures, magazines, novels, etc.

If you do not check it, it implies that your outer and inner margins are exactly the same...

It's easier with an image...
