Excel: formulas not updating

Hello,

I have a problem with an Excel file: the formulas are not updating. I change the numbers in the table, but the sum at the bottom doesn't change. When I extend a formula without the $, all the cells take the same value even if the cells involved in the formula change.

What can I do?

I have restarted the file and restarted the computer, but it’s still the same.

    2 Solutions.

    1) Press the F9 key - equivalent to Calculate Now
    2) Go to the options (tools/options under 2003) and check the calculation tab
    (from memory as I have 2007 in front of me)

    and under 2007 Office menu/options/formulas (automatic option checkbox)
