Hello,
I’m at a high school with computers connected to a server called IACA; without it, the computers are inaccessible, and if by chance we manage to access them, through the administrator or otherwise, we end up without programs because everything is stored on that server. Anyway.
A while ago we also learned that teachers can check what’s on our screens. Knowing my way around IT, I was looking for this famous program. Unless it’s hidden, it doesn’t appear at the bottom, in the notification bar; only the IACA server icon is there. So a question remains: is it possible for teachers to see through this IACA server, or is there necessarily a program?
Thanks in advance for your answers, and I’m just asking because as a student I wouldn’t be able to configure much ^^
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 531.21.10

Haha you’re interested in the weak IACA server developed by the Charleville CDTP :D finally something in the Ardennes but anyway back to the server and its possibilities
The administrators buy and install the iaca client on all computers in the network and the server software on the server linking all the computers
Then the administrators can adjust the privileges of students and teachers
I know because I copied quite a few files and programs from the iaca server :p
They weren't protected on the server xD
So in what I copied there is software to monitor people called Observe.exe and the administrators can decide who has access to this program all of this is stored in an ini file called Outils.ini
If you open this ini file you will see all the parameters of the iaca server tools
[Observe]
Users= <-- Here are noted all the names of those who can observe thanks to observe.exe
Example :
[Observe]
Users=admin1|PROF1
This is just an example; in place of admin1 there could be another admin or we can add as many people as we want, so a teacher or even a student!
So yes you can be observed! If you see a software like ultravnc you can see if someone is watching you by right-clicking to view the list of clients
Ps: you won’t be able to close it because it’s probably hidden or integrated into the server to make several tools in one and ctrl alt delete is disabled!
