Hello!!
I've bought a Zicplay Mega Key 256 MB USB 2.0 MP3 player, but I don't have any instructions to make it work. I have a problem: why do I only have 10 seconds of music per track? Can you explain the different functions to me? Or can you provide me with a user manual? Thank you all.

As I suspect a similarity between the functions of a Megakey MP3 player and those of a Minikey, please download the following file from the aforementioned site:

Everything is explained in detail there (it's outrageous that this document is not included in the boxes).

Hello,
I bought a Zicplay Nanokey 512 MB MP3! I can charge it on a computer and that's what I did.
It seems charged but I can't turn it on by pressing "play" or "menu". I can only do it when it's plugged in! Is this normal?? How do we turn on the MP3?

I am also looking for a solution to recharge this mp3 (Zicplay Trio). It shows the charging icon, but then there is no autonomy.
There is something strange in the options menu regarding charging, I didn't fully understand it, but it might be related.

I bought 2 Zicplay Vizio MP3 players (4 Gb) and I'm having the same issues with charging the battery. I even bought a wall adapter for USB.
It seems that the MP3 needs to be switched ON and left to charge for 4 to 5 hours. I even left it charging all night and I have no indication that it is charged. After a few minutes of use, it turns off: no battery!!! Even though it supposedly has a battery life of 4.5 hours!!!

I don't understand anything anymore; if anyone really knows how to charge this thing, please let me know!

Hello,
you need to switch it on (on the back of the player), and then enter the MP3 player menu, and after a few seconds, it starts recharging... P.S. If anyone knows how to turn off the screen, I'm all ears.

Battery issues are unfortunately recurring with this MP3 player. If it's still under warranty (less than 1 year), it needs to be replaced. (I've done it twice...). These are low-quality players with questionable ergonomics... The only real advantage is its size and thickness...

I have everything else: the box, the cable, and the headphones. Did you have a user manual in your box? I only have 3 loose sheets... I might have misplaced it.

I don't remember the manual... As for mine, I took it back to FNAC and they had no problem; they just replaced the player for me.
That said... it's a bad product; I'm in the US this week and I'm going to buy an iTouch...

Having gone through the same hassle, I'm giving you the procedure:
select MP3, press the mode button briefly twice, choose repeat and random, then press the mode button briefly. When you select the Intro mode, you only hear the first 10 seconds of each song.

It is likely that your file is either not in the correct format or still protected by DRM.

If it's music purchased online, you first need to listen to it for a few seconds with Windows Media (to acquire the license), burn it to a CD, then "rip" it from the CD to your PC and finally sync your music player.

Welcome to the hell of zic play... to recharge it, you connect it to your PC and it charges itself (your PC must be turned on). Just know that sooner or later... your battery will give up the ghost and the battery life will be... at best, an hour...

Hello everyone,  Well, I came to the site to look for an answer and in the end, I found it myself.  Basically, for the battery issue, you need to go to options >> Battery charge >> select "start charge" and then turn off the MP3 with the "play" button. Hello Stephanie, if you read the comments left on this forum, you must have understood that the device has almost all the flaws... the battery is a nearly systematic problem that can only be resolved by changing the device.  What I advise you:  1/ if you just bought it, try to exchange it for another player where you purchased it 2/ If the previous option is not possible, use the warranty to have it replaced 3/ If neither solution is feasible... well, buy another player, a real one!!!
