GREYED OUT TOOLBAR

BRIBRI -

Hello,

as my Excel sheet is open, almost all functions in the toolbars are grayed out, making them unusable.
however, as soon as I open CUSTOMIZE TOOLS, and without activating anything, all functions in the same toolbars become active, but as soon as I close the CUSTOMIZATION window, everything turns gray again.

thank you for your response
Configuration: Windows Vista Safari 532.5

    It's likely, check:
either by right-clicking on the sheet name tab and selecting "remove protection"
or in the "review" section and click on remove protection in the editing window (for 2007)
    otherwise before 2007:
Tools / Protection / Remove protection.
    Best regards
