convert an mp4 player to a usb drive

Bonjour, I would like to be able to convert my MP4 player into a USB stick. Is it possible, and if so, how, please?

It depends on the mp4, I think it's possible on an iPod touch  but not on an old piece of junk.

Well, it's not an old mp4, here is Coby and if I want to turn it into a USB stick it's to be able to install Linux on my computer. But every time it restarts as mp4 and doesn't stay in USB mode:
