Hello,
I just upgraded to Vista).
Everything works, except the thumbnail image preview for .WMF files downloaded from Microsoft Office.
I searched the web, but no one seems to have solved this problem.
The default program is Paint, but changing it doesn't help.
I have no ideas.
If anyone...
Thank you very much!

I also have a problem with WMFs... no preview, so it’s a pain to open all of them to find the right image.
especially when you have a lot and you want to include just one in a document =) -
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if you have finally, after all this time, found a way to display the thumbnail preview of WMF files? You may guess that I’ve had this problem since I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 not long ago, and, as you already know, it’s rather annoying...
Thanks in advance for your responses... -
Well no. For the past year, I’ve always had the icon for the WMF file reader (regardless of the default software, by the way).
Especially, since then I did a complete system reinstall, but I still don’t have access to previews.
If anyone finally finds the solution...
Good luck to everyone... -
Hello,
We have been able to use, and for a long time, XnView.
https://www.xnview.com/en/
This free software allows you to open folders in a window that offers the same features as Explorer, plus many others, including a thumbnail view of all image files, including WMF.
It is supposed to be able to integrate into the folder context menu, but if that doesn’t work, you can add it to the SendTo list.
There is also a portable version.
