Hallelujah!! I installed the 64-bit driver from the CD on Windows 7 after setting the compatibility for the "setup" file to Windows XP, and it works :)

I have the same problem - it seems that the driver sold with the hardware is incomplete - where can I download the driver for Windows 7 I can't find the driver on any driver site.

Hello, I bought the same scanner, the driver is on the installation CD but Windows 7 cannot install it correctly. I went to touslesdrivers.com and they do not offer a driver for the Ion Slide 2PC...
If anyone has a solution, I am eager to hear it...

Hello, I have the same problem. I downloaded the driver from the supplier's website but it's still the same. The driver installs, the scanner is detected but the computer doesn't make the connection between the two.

@kossmar: I did the same thing, but after acquiring the photo, I always end up with a black picture (even though there is indeed a film inside).

As I already explained, I installed the 64-bit driver "from the CD" on Windows 7 after selecting compatibility with Windows XP for the "setup" file and it works.
Copy the installation files to the computer. Right-click on the Setup file and choose compatibility with Windows XP, then install by double-clicking on the same Setup file.

the drivers provided on the CD work perfectly on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms (Win 7 to 10, Vista, and XP)
it's the installation software that needs improvement for Win 7 to 10 and Vista systems.
To install the driver, you need to do it the "old-fashioned way"...
install Photo Impression and then connect the ION scanner to your computer.
wait for the connection "blip" and the red LED to light up on the scanner's casing.
if a driver search starts: exit the search.
Open the "device manager." In the list of devices, you should theoretically find "unknown device" with a question mark or exclamation point.
click on the line and then on "update driver."
A window will appear with two options: let Windows search for a driver or specify the driver location.
Choose the second option and indicate the location on the CD/Drivers/driver 32 or 64 bits depending on your platform.
the driver will install in less than a minute
restart...
your scanner will then be recognized by the "Photo Impression" software
