Hello,
I have a PC running Vista with eMule and everything was going well until two days ago. When I launch my eMule, a small window "updating server list" opens with an icon going from the earth symbol to my folders, but the loading bar remains empty. The problem is that it's blocking my access to eMule and all the settings. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled eMule, but it's still the same. If anyone has a solution, thanks.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,
Here’s a tutorial that should help you. I tried the method and it worked for me:

Thank you for your response. I was starting to lose hope, but the problem is that as soon as I open the mule, the window appears and I no longer have access to my mumule window, so I can't fix anything.
I can't actually understand the problem. ^^
When you launch the program, does it start?
Or are you stuck?
When I launch Emule, it directly shows me the E-Mule window and I can click wherever I want. At what step are you stuck exactly?
Please let me know the error message if you have one.

I opened eMule and: error: server UDP socket: failed to create server socket - "the requested service provider could not be loaded" or initialized. Then I click OK and eMule opens, and the small window "updating server list" appears and blocks my access to my eMule page.
I don't know if I'll be able to help you because it seems very technical.
First of all, you can rely on this:
http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/help.cgi?l=13&cat_id=260
In the error messages section, there is one that resembles yours:
1/Fatal Error: unable to create socket on port 4662
This error appears when another application tries to use port 4662 to establish a connection. Generally, this occurs when you are using both eMule and eDonkey at the same time without changing the port setting on one of the two programs.
Try changing the Tcp (41474) and Udp (41484) ports to see, or disable your firewall. Make sure to open the ports on your router; I won't explain the process, it's described on the Emule sites I gave you earlier.
2/Otherwise, try the solution adjacent:
http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/help.cgi?l=13&topic_id=217&rm=show_topic
3/Why isn't eMule connecting?
eMule's connection can take some time as the servers may be offline or not responding. If eMule isn't connecting at all, make sure you have a recent server list and check that no firewall type software, router, or automatic connection software is blocking eMule traffic.
Also check Preferences -> Servers -> Automatically connect only to static servers. If this option is checked and you don't have a valid staticservers.dat file containing valid servers, eMule will not connect.
4/Otherwise, reinstall E Mule with another version (like e mule 0.49 b if you had 0.49.c or vice versa) by completely uninstalling the application.
Good luck!

I've given you the solution but in reverse ^^
First, completely reinstall E Mule by deleting the E Mule folder at the end of the uninstallation. (Choose a different version if necessary because this solution seems to work)
Next, I advise you to install a firewall that properly manages program control and to disable the XP firewall. Online Armor is free and works very well. You can download it here (Online Armor Free v4.0.0.15, French):
http://www.tallemu.com/downloads.php
It is likely a port issue. You can try the following ports.
For TCP: 41474
For UDP: 41484
Once you have properly reinstalled the application with the above ports, you need to open them in the router by creating 2 rules. One for TCP port: 41474 (or the port number you chose) and one for UDP port 41484.
See: http://www.emule-france.com/ (Router configuration is presented by access providers in the left banner)
Generally, you just need to get your IP address (like 192.168.1.20, IPV4 address) by typing cmd /k ipconfig /all in start / run / and create 2 exception rules in the firewall.
If you're struggling at this stage, I can provide you with additional explanations.
Once that’s done, refresh your internet connection by unplugging the modem and it should work.^^
